Tugboat Toy Company creates kits that bring materials, ideas, and clear instructions together to make it easier to begin a creative project.
Our kits explore different interests, but share a common purpose: to make creating approachable and give people room to experiment, personalize, and discover what they can make.
We are based in Boston, Massachusetts, where our kits are imagined, experimented with and brought to life.
The Bath Lab Studio
The Bath Lab Studio makes hands-on bath and body kits that turn bath time into a chance to mix, experiment, and create. Choose from projects such as soap dough, fizzy paint, bath tea, and mud masks. Pre-measured ingredients and clear instructions help kids get started, while each kit leaves room to explore. Made and packed in small batches in Boston. For ages 3 and up with adult supervision.
Pigment & Brush
Pigment & Brush is a monthly watercolor mail club for curious makers who want an inviting way to create at their own pace. Each mailing includes a short note about the month’s inspiration, a new 5 × 7 printed line design to fill with watercolors, a curated watercolor dot palette, and one surprise creative extra. The surprise changes from month to month and might be a sticker, bookmark, mini print to color, or another small creative item. Bring your own brush and water, then explore washes, layers, and blending through each project.
Flora Felt Studio
Flora Felt Studio offers pre-cut felt flower kits for makers who enjoy shaping something by hand. Assemble the pieces with hot glue into a single bloom, a bouquet, or handmade accents for gifts and decor. Designed for makers ages 14 and up; planned to launch in 2027.
